Communication in History: The Key to Understanding. . .
This theme is broad to encourage participants to delve into history, whether it be a topic from the ancient world or the history of their own city. Students need to begin research with secondary sources to gain a broader context, then progress to finding primary sources, and finally make an argument about the effects of a topic in history. Attached you will find an explanation of the theme.
In order to participate in HD this year (and receive the Block H points!), you will need to meet the following deadlines. By staying on this timeline, you will pace yourself and be able to complete your research and project without waiting until the last minute. See me should you need special consideration.
Meeting dates are listed below for our Zoom meetings. Students are welcome to email me at any time with questions on their project. We will have a 2020-2021 History Day Google Classroom to have access to all of their materials for the project.
Trainings and practices are being held according to the guidance of the local public health department. Schedules and competitions have not yet been determined, and will depend on local health guidance. Updates will be posted as available.
