Students participating in Science Fair must chose a testable question, develop a hypothesis and experiments to test that hypothesis, perform the experiments, collect data, and deduce whether the data supports their hypothesis or not. All areas of science are open, as long as the student's question is testable. Just like in History Day, students who perform well at the school level are eligible for competition at the CCRSEMF each spring. Maple Creek has had numerous students place at the county level, and proceed to the California State Science Fair held each May.
