The Computer Lab at Maple Creek

Husky Lab

The Maple Creek Computer lab is a place where students in grades 2-6 receive technology instruction from a certificated teacher on a weekly basis.  The lab has 38 Thin Client computers,  two printers, digital cameras, and scanners, plus a ceiling-mounted projector and 8-foot screen used for student presentations.

2nd & 3rd Graders spend two years practicing correct typing skills. We utilize Type to Learn as our program for keyboarding instruction.

For 4th-6th graders, lab instruction is an extension of the curriculum being taught in the regular classroom.  All lab projects are based on the content standards and use the computer as a tool for learning.
